How to reach us quickly and comfortably
In summer we are surrounded by green meadows and in winter by snowy expanses. Nevertheless, it is surprisingly easy to reach us. Here we clearly explain the simplest options for winter and summer. Useful links for arrival by public transport can be found further below.
You can reach Avelengo by car all year round. Take the Bolzano Sud exit of the Brennero motorway, then continue on the expressway to Merano, until the Sinigo exit. Follow the main road through Sinigo until you see the signs for Merano 2000 and Avelengo.
Alternatively, you can also travel via the Passo Resia and through Val Venosta to Merano.
The nearest airport is Bolzano, which offers direct flights several times a week from over 15 destinations in Europe. By train the journey is via Bolzano and then Merano, from where the bus will take you further to Avelengo.
In winter the last stretch of road to the chalet (from the Falzeben car park) is covered with snow and cannot be driven with your car. You can park at the Falzeben car park or at our partner hotel Chalet Mirabell in Avelengo and we will bring you to the chalet.
In summer, as overnight guests and with a suitable car, you can drive the hiking path up to the chalet in the early morning and evening hours and park in the underground garage. If you prefer not to, you can also park at the Falzeben car park or at our partner hotel Chalet Mirabell in Avelengo - we will then bring you to the chalet.
True mountain lovers and adventurers can also reach the Zuegg Chalets from the Falzeben car park on foot or (in summer) by mountain bike (about 30 minutes). Those who take the Falzeben cable car can descend to the chalets.
